Each year, Placer Nature Center presents an exciting and informative series of lectures with topics ranging from current issues with our local environment to what's happening around the planet and throughout the universe. Presented by leading researchers, professionals and scientists, the lectures provide a comprehensive overview of subjects such as marshlands, vernal pools, natural history or even the solar system.
Exciting changes in the 2010-2011 Season!
A new day, a new place and new collaborations promise a great season!
We are collaborating with the Roseville Utility Exploration Center to offer three more lectures, for a total of nine lectures from September 2010 to May 2011! Season pass prices will stay the same - so pass holders will get three free lectures on top of their already discounted price!
Another yummy change this year, Foothill Farmer's Market will be serving up free samples of locally grown produce for ticket holders starting at 7 PM. The lectures will start at 7:30 PM followed by an intimate question and answer period with the presenter and raffle.
New day, new location!
Instead of the fourth Friday of the month, the series will now be held on the first Friday. The series will also now be held at the Old State Theater in downtown Auburn with the three extra lectures presented at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center. Season Pass holders get to attend all lectures at a 50% savings! On top of the regular discount, that's getting the Roseville lectures for free!
