Marvelous, Mysterious Mars
4th Friday Lecture
March 26, 2010
If you stood on Mars, suitably protected by a Mars suit, what would you see? Of course, there is no one better to bring Mars to Earth than Dr. Doherty! From the color of the sky, to the dirt, Dr. Doherty flew participants to Mars and back again.
Through hands-on activities the partipants will experience life on mars. Find out which California city has sky the same color of Mars and the difference in a Martian sunset from our own. How does sound carry? How does Mars taste, smell, feel? And just how much sunblock will you really need?
