As a venture capitalist, Elton Sherwin understands how efficiency can earn (or save) money - for both large corporations and individuals.

Join author, and energy and clean tech venture capitalist Sherwin for a lively discussion about the practical steps to saving energy, our economy and our climate.

With a global temperature rise of just one degree, glaciers such as those in the Himalayans will disappear leaving hundreds of millions of people withouth water and food. Famines in both India and China will cause food in the world market to increase world-wide.

A Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory study found that "consumers in the U.S. spend over 4 billion dollars on standby power every year." At today's building codes, it could easily cost between $50-150,000 to heat and a cool an American house over its lifetime, about 50 years

Sherwin cuts through the ideology to discuss the most effective ways you as an individual and we as a society can stabilize the climate and achieve energy independence, one household at a time.

Doors open at 7pm, presentation starts at 7:30pm.
