Scouts Program

Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and other organized youth groups are welcome to schedule an organize tour or utilize the facilities when the Nature Center is open. Self-guided trails and special events held at Placer Nature Center can enhance and fulfill badge requirements.

Tours can be booked with a specialized theme to help achieve badge requirements for a fee. Organized tours are usually 1 1/2-2 hours in length, depending on the age of the Scouts.

Community service opportunities are also available for Scouts and youth groups. Presently, the 49er Service Unit of Girl Scouts maintains a Hummingbird and Butterfly Garden for our visitors to enjoy. With garden and trails to maintain, there are many options for service activities.

Eagle Scout candidates are welcome to explore project possibilities at the Placer Nature Center, too. Many projects have been done that are beneficial to the whole community.
