Each year, we receive many applications from families expressing stories of genuine need and struggle. Every story is a tribute to the necessity of our summer camp scholarship program.
Your generosity will help children attend camp from local women and children homeless organizations, foster agencies and kinship care services among other families that cannot afford to send their child to summer camp. Everyone who donates can be assured that 100% of the money (less credit card fees) is directed to a child's scholarship to camp.
At nature camp, children develop new friendships, explore the world around them, and learn that "I can" is much more powerful than "I can't." Nature takes its course and magic happens!
You can provide a scholarship to help a kid enter an environment created just for them - children learn real life skills, develop self-esteem, and gain a sense of independence and community. Whether children are exploring nature, playing, working together on a science investigation, or becoming part of the camp family, they are creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Ensuring that all children have access to quality science education and nature experiences is central to Placer Nature Center's mission to ignite and sustain lifelong appreciation, curiosity and love of nature.

Camp Scholarship Eligibility
Scholarships cover one week of Placer Nature Center's camp per child and can be applied to any one of Placer Nature Center's day camps.
Scholarships are available to youth involved with any of the programs listed below (please register early as scholarships are first come, first serve!).
